Sheriff Sales

THE FOLLOWING TYPE OF PROPERTY IS SOLD AT AUCTION BY THE SHERIFF:

 We sell properties, which have been defaulted on, by their owner's, after the Mortgage Company or Financial Institution contacts us, and, requests that we handle the transaction. __________________________________________________

NOTICE OF SHERIFF'S SALES ARE TO BE MADE 30 DAYS PRIOR TO A SALE.

Web postings may or may not comply with a 30 day notice.)(Names of the property owners will be listed ONLY in News Service Listings)All persons planning to attend a Sheriff's Sale, need to realize that due to the nature of these sales, there are often last minute cancellations. Often times an agreement is reached between parties at the last minute, outside of the Sheriff's Department control and knowledge. Because of this, we would recommend that you call prior to departing for such an event. ________________________________________________

PRIOR TO BIDDING YOU MUST AGREE TO THE FOLLOWING:

1.     All sales are subject to any first and prior liens, taxes, and assessments legally levied and assessed thereof.

  1. The Sheriff does not warrant either expressively or implied any title, location, or legal description of any real estate sold at the sale. Any prospective bidder should obtain their own title evidence before making any bid on any properties subject to this sale.
  2. The Sheriff does not warrant either expressively or implied any information on the Real Estate Sales List.
  3. Bids on Sheriff's sale properties may only be submitted on the date of the sale.
  4. All properties will be sold to the highest bidder, payable by certified check to the Jasper County Clerk's Office.
  5. All bids are final. No bid received may be withdrawn or amended after being duly received and recorded by Sheriff's Personnel.
  6. All back taxes on these types of properties, are your responsibility; as the new purchaser. 
  7. A “Deed Transfer Fee” of $5.00 is to be collected by the Auditor’s Office, at the time of transfer.

You further understand that all goods or real property sold by the Sheriff of Jasper County are sold "as is" and no expressed or implied warranties are to be construed to be given by the Sheriff of Jasper County, Indiana.

Russ is available Monday through Friday from 8:00AM to 10:00 AM, after that he is out in the field.
